Takeyah A. Young
Black American
My fascination with how the minor daily choices we make can indirectly impact others' quality of life and well-being around the globe, as with the Butterfly effect is an extremely powerful source I believe many often take for granted.
We are a tribal people and far more powerful than we've been conditioned to accept. When I am not serving Allah, the Atlanta Community as an Organizer, Human Rights Activist and public arts curator; I am holding officials and developers accountable to being more intentional when designing in or near Black communities as Commissioner for the city's Urban Design. Serving on ADAMA's Board feeds my curiosity of just how grand we can create when moving with intention, integrity, cultural ownership, economic responsibility and selflessness. We can show you better than we can tell you. As Salaam Alaikum.
